Clive Barker’s Tortured Souls Novella gets a Starred Review!!!
The Tortured Souls mythology has always intrigued me and something I’ve always wanted to explore more of. I wasn’t able to get the entire run of the McFarlane Toys that were released back in July of 2001, but I was able to get Venal Anatomica because I thought he looked so fucking cool. I’ve posted a picture of him at the bottom of this post and you can’t tell me he doesn’t look like a total badass! I’ve haven’t opened the figure (and I won’t) so I didn’t read the 32 page novella that came with him. So I’m in the dark when it comes to this universe that Clive has once again graced upon us.
Which brings me to the topic at hand, Clive Barker’s Tortured Souls: The Legend of Primordium was recently given a positive review by Publishers Weekly. The review really makes me want to get a copy. Subterranean Press also had made a Lettered and Limited Edition copies available of the novella, but sadly those are already sold out. All that’s left is the standard Trade Edition. Which is fine with me just as long as I get to experience this wonderful and dark world Clive has created. I’d say the Trade Edition will probably sell out sooner than later so get your orders in ASAP.
