New Clive Barker Interview…

Over at the site Grantland.com they posted a new interview with Clive Barker! I haven’t had a chance to read over it yet but it seems Clive is in good spirits. That’s always great to hear. They cover various topics about his life but most importantly about the release of The Scarlet Gospels which was released today worldwide in the US and UK. Beware there are spoilers in the interview. Here’s a quote taken from the interview that I’ve shared below on why he decided to cut down on the scale of the book:

GL: You’ve been so unequivocal and public that this book is about the death of Pinhead — full stop, no spoiler warning. Why?


CB: Why not? If I’d been sly about this and not even mentioned the fact that Pinhead — excuse me, the Hell Priest — was going to die, that would have seemed really dumb. It’s actually a really important element of the book,the element of the book which will draw the most attention. He will not be coming back, by the way. That I promise you. There will be no return, no posthumous Frank Sinatra concerts from him.
