I was a big fan of Lito Velasco’s score for Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II. As I was watching the documentary the themes he created were constantly going through my head and added to the over all positive experience that I had watching the film. I’m sure he made Christopher Young very proud!
As many of you know he also created a Indiegogo campaign to get the soundtrack an official release out to the public. There’s no doubt that he’s going to reach his goal since he’s only $80 away from it and he still has eight days left. If you’re also a fan of the score and interested in getting a copy of the soundtrack, just follow this link here:
Being a contributor myself I received an e-mail from him and this is what he had to say about the release:
Greetings from Primitivo Productions.
Here’s an update for all of you who have graciously and kindly contributed to our campaign for creating a CD for the score to the documentary, Leviathan- The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II.
We’re in negotiations with Sienna Digital, the company that will be creating the CD’s for us. Today I received the mastered tracks from the engineer who worked with us and I’ve gotta tell you, we were wowed. Simply amazing work by our friend, Rainer Genbalczyk. He took a score I was already proud of and added a depth that simply wasn’t there before. I owe him a lot for the final product’s sound and ambience.
Art Design will be handled by two fantastic artists who are friends of mine and I’ve longed to work with on a personal project for a long time: Pat Evans and Eriq Chang. I’m awaiting reception of a package of art design templates, graphics, logos, and such from the producers of the documentary. Once those are received, art design will begin in earnest by these two very talented individuals.
The campaign is in its final eight days and we are so close to the finish line that we can almost taste it. We’re going to be creating/producing the CDs even if we don’t reach the goal, but the closer to or ahead of the finish line we get, the easier the financial burden will be on our production company. So if you haven’t shared the link yet, please do (http://igg.me/at/leviathanCD/x/144955).
And if you know someone who would like a copy or might be interested, please let them know. Like I said: regardless, CD’s will be on the way. Hell, we might even end up with some leftovers we can distribute at a later time.
I’ve already begun sketching and inking the music manuscript pages perks, we have plenty of CD’s available, and this week will see the addition of the final two perks. Here are hints:
–been dying to touch the very thing that opens the portal of the Cenobites? This might be your chance…
–this loathsome leader benevolently lent his signing skills to a doppelganger that we think you’ll enjoy…
Thanks for the support and publicity!
Anytime Lito! 🙂
