Gary Tunnicliffe Talks More Hellraiser: Judgment
Hellraiser: Judgment writer/director Gary Tunnicliffe continues to chat about the latest sequel to the Hellraiser franchise and this time he’s talked to the horror website Dread Central about the upcoming movie. He covers a lot of familiar topics from previous reports, but the most interesting part of this interview are the comments he makes about Doug Bradley and the status of their professional relationship.
The whole Doug situation has been pretty intense, and I’m very sorry for where we are at now. Doug perhaps thinks I betrayed him, when all I was trying to do was present the facts. I wanted him on this film, but it wasn’t to be,”
I hate to hear this, and I hope they can work through their differences and let bygones be bygones.
He also notes that he hates the notion of the title being possibly being Hellraiser X: Judgment.
“I’ve no idea where the ‘X’ came from or who started it, and honestly I kind of hate it. Hellraiser: Judgment was and is the working title, but of course that could all change.”
I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this sequel delivers the goods. Gary can talk a really good game, but can he back it up in the end? I’m hoping that’s the case.
