Hellbound Heart Audio Play

Hello Everyone,

An audio production of Clive Barker’s The Hellbound Heart has apparently been written by podcast friend and novelist Paul Kane (Monsters, Blood Red, Hellraisers) and was recently recorded in December 2017 by Bafflegab Productions. The cast includes Alice Lowe as Kirsty, Tom Meeten as Rory/Frank, and Neve McIntosh as Julia. The play will feature a cameo by Hellraiser and Nightbreed alumni Nicholas Vince.

Producer Simon Banard had this to say:

The Hellbound Heart gives us a very different Kirsty to the one in the film – she’s needy, dreamy, a tad stalkerish. We’d worked with Alice a few months ago on Blood on Satan’s Claw and thought she’d be perfect for it (I should add that in real life she’s none of those things!). Tom Meeten was our top choice to play both Rory and his evil brother, Frank – he can do both comedy and, as anyone who’s seen his performance in The Ghoul can attest, grown-up drama. And Neve McIntosh is simply brilliant as the conniving, murderous Julia. She threw herself into the many murder scenes with great gusto!

Look for a release sometime in 2018.
