For our UK listeners Clive Barker’s third (and sadly last) directorial effort Lord of Illusions will be coming to the BFI Southbank cinema venue in London this month. Two different showings of the Director’s Cut will held with one being on Sunday, February 11th and the other following the next weekend on Saturday the 17th.
Written and directed by Clive Barker, the story follows private detective Harry D’Amour who gets involved in a bizarre case when he’s hired to protect an illusionist named Phillip Swann by his mysterious wife Dorothea. After Swann is murdered at a live performance, D’Amour is then pulled deeper into a world where magic is real and death is the ultimate illusion.
