Tuesday Tunes: “Yet To Come”
For this Tuesday Tunes I wanted to share an inspiring song from The Last Movie Star called “Yet To Come” written and sung by the Nashville duo known as Stranger Friends (John Martin and Jamie Floyd) who provided most of the music for the film.
The song plays over the final scenes of the movie and does a beautiful job of capturing the film’s theme about not giving up on life even when you want to throw in your hand. My favorite lyrics are the opening lines:
Up ahead around the corner,
What will be nobody knows…
And I think that sums up life no matter if we think we’ve experienced all there is. Vic Edwards (Burt Reynolds) is a man that’s experienced a lot, but not yet.
