COENOBIUM Interview With Bill Condon about Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995)
MEMORIES OF COENOBIUM MAGAZINE – The interview you’re about to read was published in a old issue of “Coenobium” the Hellraiser magazine. Special FX artist Ed Martinez had the chance to visit the set of Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh and later conducted a phone interview with the director Bill Condon (Gods and Monsters). He was kind enough to send us the typed pages of this interview and a couple of unpublished photos that were taken on set, of the special FX being worked on. Check those out in the blog article accompanying this video, at the bottom of the page.
Without further ado, here are the typed pages below and I recorded an audio reading of the interview for our Youtube channel, which you can listen to below, as well as on the podcast feed (Thanks, Ryan!)

There you go, that was an amazingly detailed interview. Candyman 2 came out 26 years ago, believe it or not, and this month we get to watch the new Candyman directed by Nia da Costa, hitting theaters August 27.
I hope you enjoyed it. What are your memories of watching the Candyman movies in the theater? Are you excited about the new Candyman? Let us know in the comments below! Thanks for Listening.
The following are previously unpublished photos provided by Ed Martinez. Taken during a set visit. Special effects artist sculpting a chest and arm covered in bee stings for Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh.
