Barkercast Presents: Danny Stewart’s Bride for a Candyman

Spread the love

Our names will be written on a thousand walls. Our crimes told and retold by our faithful believers. We shall die together in front of their very eyes and give them something to be haunted by. Come with me and be immortal. – Candyman

Actor and producer Danny Stewart has come up with some amazing concept art for a potential pitch for a “Bride of the Candyman” sequel. Check out the sketch designs he commissioned talented artist Anthony Galatis to do below:

Another design from Mad Matt:

These are some grisly images and remind me of the graphic, horrific-style that Bernard Rose brought to the first film. I think they also capture the “everlasting love” theme between Helen and  Daniel Robitaille quite well.

Keep in mind this has nothing to do with the upcoming remake, but I think it’s worth sharing to maybe get the filmmakers to see where a potential film can go. Of course, maybe they already have their story in place, but I still think it’s fun to share what ideas the fan’s have too.

Danny has also started a Facebook group called #BringBackJake Candyman2020 in hopes to get actor DeJuan Guy to reprise his role for the upcoming Candyman film.

Thanks to Danny Stewart for sharing.
